It's hard to explain why the image of a french girl is so alluring. The get up isn't complicated at all. A simple top and skirt, or maybe some black and white stripes, and of course the classic beret are enough to channel the sophisticated Parisienne. I suppose that is what you mean by effortlessly chic.

I hope you won't get the notion of pretentiousness from today's look. I'm not implying that I wish I was born a French girl; nor do I favor it over the classic Filipina's look :P ! I'm always an advocate of Asian Fashion at heart. Still, style is all about having fun with expressing yourself, right? 

Before I say good night, I wanted to share this picture with you guys! With me in this picture is my yaya (nanny)! I know, I know...you're probably thinking I'm too old to have one haha! BUT I'M NOT! Hahaha! Kidding aside, I just wanted to show her off to you guys because she's is absolutely amazing! And this photo pretty much encompasses how close we are. She's a second mother to me and one of my best friends.  

To all you guys who love their yayas, give a shout out! Show them off on your blogs too and lemme know! I'd love to hear about them :)

Weddings are always fun. You get to wear pretty dresses and accessories, and get all dolled up with your girl friends. It's been a while since I last attended a wedding, so I was excited to prepare for this one. When I found out that the event required us to wear formal attire, I thought I'd look for a new dress so I would be able to wear something else than the usual blue and lace gown I've been wearing for the past few occasions. I didn't want to get anything too expensive or extravagant, so I was looking for something that wasn't an all-out formal gown. And tadah! Here's what's I found!

This dress was on sale in Tango. It was the first dress that caught my eye when I was looking around TriNoma. After hours of searching elsewhere, I came back to the first store I entered. I'm really fond of Tango dresses. They're a reliable shop if you want elegance with a great fit. My graduation dress was also from Tango, and they've yet to disappoint me :) 

I was going for a grecian look with this dress. It's draping fit and asymmetrical cut was the reason behind that. So I went for a loose and messy bun with accent earrings and my trusty gold bangle. I am particularly proud of my makeup for this event hahaha. I opted for smokey and shiny eyes, which I really liked. Sorry for my lack of proper makeup terminology :P

Hurray for weddings! Congratulations to the newly weds! And thank you Abby for inviting us to sing for your brother's special day.

Hello everyone! Here's another blog post :)

This look was all about having one focal point. Everything in this outfit is plain and basic except for my leopard print cardigan (obviously). True, animal print has been overused this past year. It doesn't mean we can't wear it anymore though. In my opinion, animal print has already become a staple in every fashionista's closet. No, we don't need animal print suits to match our animal print pants, and animal print shirts, and animal print accessories...Still, I think it makes sense to have at least one of these in your closet. I have to admit that it easily makes a boring outfit more interesting in an instant. Plus, animal prints are mostly based on neutral colors (unless of course you get one of those neon versions of the trend). So if you want to get noticed, without being too flashy, animal print might be just  the thing for you :)

Hi guys! Here's another delayed outfit post. Despite the title, I am anything but "chillin'" today. I'm actually just taking a few minutes away from studying for pharmacology. I figured I might as well create this post since it's long been up on lookbook.nu already.

Anyway, as you see, it's the perfect chill outfit. Just a simple shirt-shorts look; No heels, but with a unique pair of flats from Hebe Manila; Fun sunnies and the braided headband to make"letting your hair down" more interesting. I'd give anything for exam week to fast forward, and to revert to this relaxed state of mind. Sigh...here's to less stressful days :)

Hello everyone! Just a quick outfit post for today. I'm on my study break right now, because I'm going crazy preparing for my pathology and obstetrics tests tomorrow. To make it worse, I've been really sleepy this whole day, and all these handouts aren't helping :-/ Maybe a few minutes creating this post can give my brain a breather :)

Anyway about this look, I thought I'd celebrate the first week of 2013 with some polka dots. Hopefully the saying is true and  it does bring me good luck! I paired this neon polka dot top from O-Mighty.com with my black leather shorts to neutralize the brightness. Then I added my DIY vest, platforms and accessories to make it more fun

Hello everyone! Happy 2013!!! 

I don't have a lot of photos this time. As you can see, there're just three of them. You might have noticed that for this shoot, I took the pictures by myself with a timer and tripod. Not the easiest thing to do with a dSLR, so this is the best I have :) 

If there's one thing I love about this season, it's the ability to curl up in your favorite knitwear and sweaters. It's usually so hot in the Philippines, so this kind of weather is a treat for most of us. My sweater of choice for this day was this dress from clothingloves.com. I was too lazy to go outside of the house so I joined the bandwagon of taking outfit shots in the room. Heehee...to make it even more "hipster," I added my DIY floral crown. Talk about cliche :P
