I hope this holiday season has brought you all lots of joy!

My celebration of Christmas was quite simple. My family just had a quiet dinner at home and went to Church. Don't get me wrong though, I actually prefer this kind of celebration. We're not the partying type of people. Also, during the rest of the year, we're all busy; and it's not very often when we're all just resting at home and enjoying each others' company. AND after the hectiiiiic last two weeks I've had in school (with my fever to top it all off), a relaxing Christmas with my loved ones was really the best!

Anyway, I haven't been able to blog about all my recent outfit posts. So, here I am again with outfit flooding heehee. In my defense, they're all kinda Christmas related anyway :P

This was what I wore last week for our Christmas concert. It had to be black and white...so yeah...

Hello bloggers! So, Friday was the deadline of my med school apps for UST. It turned out to be quite hassling because not all of my recommendation letters were given on the date that they were promised. I ended up still having incomplete forms at 1:00 in the afternoon. By that time, I really had to hurry to UST since I had to catch up with a 4:30 p.m. call time back in Ateneo. Whew! Talk about photo finish...

 

 

 

So, that's all for my outfit update for the day. On another note though, I would just like to plug in some of the Ateneo College Glee Club's (ACGC) upcoming events. If ever there are any Ateneans dropping by this humble blog of mine; or if there are any of you who live just around the Katipunan area and want to experience a good dose of choral singing this Christmas season, then you are most welcome to watch us on the following occasions:

DECEMBER 15, 2010: WEDNESDAY (yep, tomorrow)

Join the glee club as we sing for the first night of Simbang Gabi in the Church of the Gesu. The mass will start at 8:30 in the evening; to be followed by a short concert of Christmas carols for you guys! It's all for free, so don't hesitate to drop by!

DECEMBER 17, 2010: FRIDAY

Celebrate the Holidays with Christmas carols from all around the world and from the Philippines, as to be presented by the Ateneo College Glee Club. If you're still not feeling the Christmas season, there's no better way to get there than by listening to the heartwarming and joyous songs we have in store for all of you! Again, it's a free concert. It won't cost you to a thing to take part in the Christmas spirit!

Hi guys! Here's to another outfit update haha. Well, I've already posted these pics on Chictopia...you can all check 'em out there if you want! Anyway, this all sorta began with my dad attending their annual convention in Edsa Shangri-La. Last Sunday was their fellowship night, and he wanted us to come along with him. Seeing that the venue needed dressier ensembles, I kinda had to think about what to wear. However, I had to make sure that I wasn't too formal. People were mostly in smart casual clothes.

For the occasion, I was sure about one thing: I wanted to wear my nude and black tulle skirt. But as to how to wear it was another question.

It was narrowed down to Look A and Look B; yet it still left me at a loss since they were quite different from each other but both cute (or so I think haha)

Paired the skirt with my white cropped top and black heels :) Gave the girly vibe with the scarf headband and flower

In the end, I sported the second look. I figured since Shangri-La was gonna be cold, I'd need the blazer to stop me from shivering. I had lots fun being with my family after being absorbed in org activities and academics for so long :) 

On another note, I found out from Rina that I was featured again for New York Fashion's website! Its funny coz my name there is "Ali." Anyway, thanks New York Fashion for appreciating my fashion blog haha :) It's very flattering :)

Anyway, that's all for today! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was tiring, but fun nonetheless. I think now is the time to get back to my books though :P

Lucky Strike

Well I didn't even know about it until someone commented on my Chictopia profile. 

I was featured on New York Fashion!!! I remember my tita from New York used to send this magazine to us. I was so happy to see my photo there!

 

Whee! Super Happy. 

There's still the icing on the top! I was on a slideshow with supermodel COCO ROCHA! Ahhhh! *GIDDY* I'm sorry if I'm overly excited about the whole thing. It's just that I haven't been featured anywhere before. This is the first time it's happened and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a very happy newbie haha :) 

Overall, I'm just really happy my style is appreciated! Thanks again guys :)

The Last Two

I already said this in my ChicBlog...my trusty camera broke a week ago :( It really made me cry. When we tried to fix it in Greenhills, apparently the damage was so big, that it would be wiser to just get a new one. I'm not good with machinery or electronics, but one thing was clear: Everything was burnt. I really felt bad. Like what Joyce said in a comment she made on my blog, a good camera is like a girl's best friend. Indeed, it has served me well (especially with my fashion blogging) Sigh.

Anyway, on the bright side, I was able to save the memory card! Hurrah! I had two outfit shots that I haven't uploaded yet. That's why I called this entry "The Last Two"

 

I looove this look! I can't say it's in accordance with my usual style! But like every young girl at heart, I love colors so much! This look was actually inspired by some pegs Ate Glacey showed me before for a shoot. They wanted color popping out and showed a whole lot of runway looks with bright on bright!

That's my style update for today :)

Seeing that my dad and I were already in Greenhills, we decided to take a look around at the top floor of the tiangge, where cellphones and gadgets were being sold. To my surprise, I saw my camera!!! Only, it was second hand. I tried it out and it was still in good condition. Since it was second hand, they were selling it at a cheap price (also, my camera is already an old model...got it in 2007). I decided to get it. A camera is almost a necessity for me. My fashion blog is one thing, but I need it for my thesis too. Anyhow, I guess I'm happy with that. No, it can't replace my old camera. I still keep the broken one for emotional reasons haha. But I'm happy I have something to use :) My mom's been thinking about getting a dSLR. Let's see where that goes.

Hi guys! Well, as I mentioned in my last blog entry...last Saturday, I was given the chance to model for fellow Chictopian, Lexi Gancayco's shop: The Second Shop. They're gonna be releasing their final collection for this year on the sixth of December! Be sure to watch out for them guys :)

It was a bit tiring, but it was also fun. I was given a lot of bizarre headdresses, and their clothes are so unique and appealing!

Woozy

Ok, let me begin by saying that sooo much has happened last week. I'm still kinda dealing with its "aftershock."

It all started on a Sunday. The night before, I was already feeling like my throat was sore. However, I was not able to resist taking an outfit post for chictopia. I don't know how, but I even found time to put on make-up! So funny!!! hahaha. Maybe Chictopia is kinda like my remedy!

different from my usual style. I love this look actually :) That crocheted top from my mom's closet is gorgeous! Plus the jeans ain't bad :)

So, as before, I'll just give a rundown of my outfits :)

I look so dainty. Feels kinda over the top. Still, a girl can enjoy looking like a doll every now and then, right?
